Shingo Systems Design is an immersive, two-day workshop that builds on the foundation established in the DISCOVER EXCELLENCE™ workshop and deepens your understanding of how systems enable organizational excellence. Through a blend of classroom learning and on-site experiences at Menlo Innovations, participants explore the Systems and Tools diamonds of the Shingo Model™, beginning with a core truth: all work in an organization is the outcome of a system. When systems are not intentionally designed to achieve a clear objective, they evolve on their own—driving inconsistent behaviors and variable results.
This workshop focuses on how thoughtfully designed systems shape behavior, and how behavior ultimately determines performance. Participants will learn how well-designed systems create the conditions for ideal behaviors, continuous improvement, and sustainable results. By translating Shingo principles into practical systems and tools, attendees gain a clear framework for designing organizations that perform with consistency and purpose.
In this workshop, you will:
Discover the three types of essential systems required for organizational excellence
Explore the five required communication tools for each system
Learn how to create and use system maps to visualize and improve work
Understand system standard work and how it drives alignment and continuous improvement
DISCOVER EXCELLENCE™ is a prerequisite for this workshop.
